The best helmets for Ducati Panigale v4

The best helmet for the Ducati Panigale V4 is the Bell Race Star Flex DLX Surge because of its aggressive styling and colour scheme that matches the red colour of the Ducati. It is also one of the only a few other helmets with this particular design that is DOT and ECE rated.

In this article, we look at helmets that fit with the Ducati Panigale V4 and also look into why the Bell Race Star Flex DLX Surge is the best one to choose out of all the others.

We’ll discuss the following:

The best helmets that fit with the Ducati Panigale V4

There are only a handful of aggressive style helmets that have the correct colour scheme and certified for DOT and ECE. If you own a Panigale V4, you obviously want to tack it to the track at some point, so the ECE rating is something you should look at. Here’s the list of helmets that fit best with the Ducati Panigale V4:

  • AGV Pista GP RR Carbon Competizione
  • Bell Race Star Flex DLX Surge
  • HJC RPHA 11 Pro Fesk
  • Shoei X-14 Aerodyne

Shoei X-14 Aerodyne

“The Shoei X-14 Aerodyne is my personal favourite helmet but I prefer the graphics of the other helmets for the Ducati Panigale V4” ~ Two Motion

Why the Bell Race Star Flex DLX Surge fits the Ducati Panigale V4 best

Before you get all upset and starting breaking sh!t, I didn’t say that the Bell Race Star Flex DLX is better than the AGV Pista GP RR but the price of the helmets play a role. Even if some Ducati owners don’t mind paying twice as much for the AGV than they would have for the Bell, I do.

Among the rest of the helmets that are under $1000, they are all pretty good looking with an aggressive style to them. Although, the HJC RPHA 11 Pro does have a less aggressive style to it than all the others. Still, it’s aggressive enough.

But where the Bell Race Star Flex DLX really stands out is when you use it all the time as a daily rider. No other helmet on this list is so user-friendly and that makes a huge difference if you want something for the long run. It would be things like cheek pads that fit with magnets and adjustable inner linings (which the Shoei X-14 and AGV Pista GP RR also have).

The Bell Race Star Flex DLX is also the second most affordable helmet after the HJC RPHA 11 Pro. Other than that, these helmets offer you pretty much the same when it comes to fitment and features.

Does Ducati make their own helmets?

While Ducati doesn’t make their own helmets, they do sell ‘Ducati’ branded products that also include helmets. These helmets are manufactured by Arai, which is also an Italian manufacturing company like Ducati.

Where can I learn more about motorcycle helmets?

If you need an opinion or review from someone who isn’t part of a sales team, you can read my helmet reviews on twomotion.net. Not all my reviews are particularly in-depth, but you’ll discover that my ratings help with getting a shorter list of helmets to consider.
