Alpinestars Andes V2 Drystar

Features

  • Leather
  • CE certification
  • Waterproof
  • 1 colour (black)
  • Touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 40 – 47

Sizes (US): 6.5 – 12

The details…

The Alpinestars Andes V2 Drystar has very little aggressive lines, especially from the ankle down where the riders pants or trousers would usually stop. But the Drystar is less breathable than the Gore-Tex so if you need something for warmer climates, the Web Gore-Tex version (also in this review) might be better suited for you.

Price range:

  • $200

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The Andes V2 Drystar will blend in with more formal shoes in your workplace plus it’s great for touring” ~ Two Motion™

Likes

  • Great all-rounder
  • Great value for money
  • Very discrete

Dislikes

  • Would have liked to see a perforated version of this boot

Alpinestars Campeche Drystar

Features

  • Leather
  • CE certification
  • Waterproof
  • 2 colours (black & Brown)
  • Touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 40.5 – 48.5

Sizes (US): 7 – 13

The details…

The Alpinestars Campeche Drystar is available in black and brown with a more casual style to it. This makes it great for those who don’t work a desk job and most likely wear jeans. The brown colour version is particularly good for hiding dust or dirt that may accumulate on the boots.

Price range:

  • $250

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The Campeche Drystar is a great casual looking boot that will blend in with normal work boots that your co-workers may be wearing” ~ Two Motion™

Likes

  • Great all-rounder
  • Great value for money
  • Very comfortable

Dislikes

  • No complaints

Alpinestars Radon Drystar

Features

  • Microfibre
  • CE certification
  • Waterproof
  • 1 colour (black)
  • Touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 36 – 48

Sizes (US): 3.5 – 12.5

The details…

The Alpinestars Radon Drystar is made with microfibre in the upper part of the boot that reduces weight. Since the bottom Velcro strap may be visible when wearing normal pants, it would be an option for semi-formal office wear but not so much for formal office wear.

Price range:

  • $200

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐

“The Radon Drystar is a good touring boot but isn’t the ideal boot for a workspace as the Velcro straps are visible and the shin protector is rather large and bulky” ~ Two Motion™

Likes

  • Great all-rounder
  • Good value for money

Dislikes

  • I don’t really like Velcro straps on boots
  • The shin protectors might be a bit big for normal pants

Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex

Features

  • Leather
  • CE certification
  • Waterproof
  • 1 colour (black)
  • Touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 36 – 50

Sizes (US): 3.5 – 14

The details…

The Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex is the more breathable Gore-Tex membrane version of the Andes V2 which we looked at earlier. This motorcycle boot is a better option for warmer climates but it’s also $100 more expensive. It really just depends on what you are willing to spend and how much comfort you want.

Price range:

  • $300

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The Web Gore-Tex will fit in with more formal office wear and allows some breathability that the Andes V2 doesn’t” ~ Two Motion™

Likes

  • Great all-rounder
  • Good value for money
  • Very discrete

Dislikes

  • A perforated exterior would still be great even on the Gore-Tex

Dainese Freeland Gore-Tex

Features

  • Microfibre
  • CE certification
  • Waterproof
  • 1 colour (black)
  • Touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 39 – 50

Sizes (US): 7 – 15.5

The details…

The Dainese Freeland Gore-Tex is perforated which may make it even more comfortable than some other boots on this list. It will fit in with more formal work clothing and remain discrete thanks to its slim design. This boot also comes in some fairly large sizes.

Price range:

  • $300

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The Freeland Gore-Tex is my first choice when looking for boots that fit with formal work clothing” ~ Two Motion™

Dislikes

  • An additional dark brown version would have been great

Dainese R TRQ-Tour Gore-Tex

Features

  • Leather
  • Waterproof
  • 1 colour (black)
  • Sport/touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 39 – 47

Sizes (US): 7 – 13

The details…

The Dainese R TRQ-Tour Gore-Tex has a much more sporty look to it. Yet, it is still somewhat discrete when pants are worn over them. The shin protector is able to move freely on a pivot system so walking can be more comfortable.

Price range:

  • $350

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The R TRQ-Tour Gore-Tex is a good touring boot but doesn’t completely disguise its identity as a motorcycle boot” ~ Two Motion™

Likes

  • Great all-rounder
  • Good value for money
  • Good protection

Dislikes

  • Shiny heel protectors may attract too much attention to go unnoticed

Daytona Roadstar GTX

Features

  • Leather
  • CE certification
  • Waterproof
  • 1 colour (black)
  • Touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 40 – 49

Sizes (US): 7 – 14

The details…

The Daytona Roadstar GTX is made for comfort and can adjust in several ways. While this boot may not fit in with formal or semi-formal office wear, it still blends in with work clothing worn outside the office. The inner boot also makes it great for layering pants into the boot for cold weather.

Price range:

  • $450

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The Daytona Roadstar GTX is a great touring boot that should last you a long time” ~ Two Motion™

Sidi Aria Gore-Tex

  • Microfibre
  • CE certification
  • Waterproof
  • Vented
  • 1 colour (black)
  • Sport/touring boots category

Sizes (EU): 41 – 48

Sizes (US): 7 – 13

The details…

The Sidi Aria Gore-Tex provides the most ventilation in this list but it’s also the boot that is least discrete. Other than this, you might enjoy its comfort on long trips. You might consider this boot to fit with semi-formal office clothing.

Price range:

  • $250

My opinion…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The Aria Gore-Tex is an ultimate touring boot for warmer weather but the flashy heel protector might give it away.” ~ Two Motion™

Likes

  • Great all-rounder
  • Great for warmer climates
  • Great value for money

Dislikes

  • Flashy heel protector

TCX X-Five.4 Gore-Tex

Sizes (EU): 36 – 49

Sizes (US): 3.5 – 14

The details…

The TCX X-Five.4 Gore-Tex has a plain design that will make it blend in with formal shoes but you are paying almost twice the price of a Merlin Zodiac that is equally discrete. With that said, the X-Five.4 Gore-Tex is better finished and has some additional comfort features.
