The best motorcycle helmet to buy if you ride a BMW S1000RR is the AGV K6 Hyphen because of its aggressive styling, performance and coloured graphics that fit perfectly with this bike. But there are a few other helmets on the market that could work as well.
In this article, we look at the AGV K6 Hyphen which I think fits perfectly with a BMW S1000RR motorcycle in a red/blue/white colour scheme. But we also look at some alternative motorcycle helmets that you might consider.
We will discuss the following:
- The top helmets that fit with the BMW S1000RR
- Why the AGV K6 Hyphen fits the BMW S1000RR best
- Does BMW make their own helmets?
- Where can I learn more about motorcycle helmets?
The top helmets that fit with the BMW S1000RR
I’ve picked only four helmets from my database that will best fit a BMW S1000RR with a red/blue/white colour scheme. Yes, there are more helmets but they might not be worth your money, or they’re being phased out. So with that said, here’s the list:
- AGV K6 Hyphen
- HJC i70 Elim
- HJC RPHA 11 Pro Quintain
- Shark Spartan 1.2 Priona
AGV K6 Hyphen
“The AGV K6 Hyphen fits in really well with the looks of the BMW S1000RR and is DOT and ECE rated but it’s the most expensive helmet here” ~ Two Motion
HJC i70 Elim
“The HJC i70 Elim is a great option for your S1000RR and comes at a good price but you might not get a track day because its only DOT rated” ~ Two Motion
HJC RPHA 11 Pro Quintain
“The HJC RPHA 11 Pro Quintain colours are in the wrong order to be considered French, so it must be for BMW motorcycles that need DOT & ECE approved helmets” ~ Two Motion
Shark Spartan 1.2 Priona
“The Shark Spartan 1.2 Priona is the best looking helmet on this list that fits with the BMW S1000RR but you only get a DOT rating” ~ Two Motion
Why the AGV K6 Hyphen fits the BMW S1000RR best
The AGV K6 Hyphen is a sporty full-face helmet just like all the others but it is only one of two helmets that are DOT and ECE rated. Also, part of the reason why I chose it; it’s only one of two helmets that have the correct ratio of colour. By this, I mean that, just like the BMW S1000RR, there is more white than blue or red across the product.

Does BMW make their own helmets?
While BMW Motorrad doesn’t make their own helmets, they do have their own branded helmets that are made by Schuberth, a German helmet manufacturer that make motorcycle helmets among other types of helmets.
