Streetfighter motorcycles always have aggressive styling to them, and they usually have no, or very little, fairings. Streetfighter motorcycles are part of the naked bike family just like the roadsters, which many mistakably call streetfighters as well.

What is a streetfighter motorcycle?
It’s very common that people can’t tell the difference between streetfighters and roadsters. Yes, there’s a difference, and that’s exactly why you won’t see bikes like the current Honda CB1000R on this list. The Honda CB1000R is actually a roadster and not a streetfighter. The new BMW S 1000 R, on the other hand, is a streetfighter while BMW incorrectly calls it a roadster.
But don’t let this confuse you. Both ‘streetfighters’ and ‘roadsters’ are part of the ‘naked bike’ family just like cafe bikes and standards. It will make more sense when I show you what they look like.
Here’s a typical example of what a streetfighter looks like next to a roadster:
Defenition: Streetfighter motorcycle
“A motorcycle with minimal, or no fairings, low rider-seat height, proportionally short wheelbase, an upright seating position and aggressive styling like a higher passenger-seat and a bulky fuel tank”.
– Two Motion
The streetfighters we are looking at in this list are all aggressively styled and have sportbike-like performance. A roadster, on the other hand, has a more traditional look to it. They commonly have a single large seat for the rider and pillion, round traditional headlights and, most likely, standard engine performance.
A streetfighter is very much the opposite of a roadster. Their styling is not necessarily modern. You could describe them as “industrious”, meaning that it’s all about the machine, it’s sound, and it’s ability to work. A streetfighter doesn’t hide its powerful and noisy engine. It also doesn’t care that the rider’s upright body is exposed to wind and weather.
